I am a qualified Exercise Therapist specialising in the 60+ age group, and I have developed a programme of physical activities through dance and low impact exercises. These exercises have helped to stimulate and enrich the lives of many over 60s by improving physical movements and mental needs. The programme is not only beneficial physically and mentally but whoever attends is always well entertained and left feling self empowered.
I have been in this line of work for over 10 years and also I have had the opportunity to work with people with Alzheimers and Dementia. The exercise is a fun and stimulating method to engage vulnerable adults such as those with these needs.
The Day Centre runs a range of regular activities from exercise to music to enrich the care we provide. We regularly review the outcome of all activities and actively look for innovative new activities to try.
